Tester Application

1.) Why you wish to be a Tester
I want to test player's skills. If a player believes themselves to be a good player, I want to be the one who tests that. A player who claims to be good must be able to prove that claim.
2.) Why you think you are suitable
I am highly critical, so my standards on what is "good" are high. On the last forum I was on, I was on the verge of getting a written test made mandatory for determining your rank, that way we could see if you understood why your deck works or if you were just going through the motions. I am also good when it comes to giving feedback. If I can help, I do.
3.) How active you will be
On the site or on DN? For the site, daily. On DN, I can try to be on nightly on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I work 4 to closing on other days.
4.) What you think the role of a Tester is
The role of a tester is to put the testee's skills and knowledge to the best use possible. A tester is not to be a roadblock, but an example of the capabilities of the members. If the tester can be defeated, it should be a sign that the testee has overcame a challenge and demonstrated that they have the ability to overcome anything.
5.) What each of the sections of the Testing Rubric means
Duel Status-Reports the win/lose ratio between the tester and the testee. If (testee/tester) 2-0, then that means the testee has what it takes to go against the best and have a good chance at representing the dueling abilities of the rest of us well.
Consistency-This is concerned with how many options did the testee have and were they able to pull it off. A consistent deck does not have no options first hand. Even if committed to one play, this is concerned with how quickly that one play occurred.
Siding-This deals with the Side Deck and how prepared the testee is for potential matches. No side deck means the potential for a bad matchup to remain bad.
Originality-This concerns if the player can think outside the box while still keeping true to their deck. Using a bland build is not original, but putting in something not expected is.
Experience with the deck-Did the player just now build this or did they actually play it before? Testing with something you never played before means you probably won't know what the deck can do, thus hurting the other scores.
Deck Construction-This deals with the build itself. Did the deck have the means to pull of its purpose or was it just random cards that hope to adapt to the situation? Does the construction show what the player's strategy is? Is there logic to the choices made or are cards in there just filler? These are questions that need to be answered with this.
Adaptation-This deals with the player's ability to get around tough blocks. Did it take one card to completely shut them down or could they change things around enough to where they could still make plays while that block was on them?
Attitude-Did the testee rage, complain, or have fun? Was the testee really smug? All of these contribute to attitude. No one likes someone who's whiney or takes the game way too seriously. Especially in war time, we do not want a crybaby representing the team as a whole.
6.) From now on when a person Applies for tester they will have to go through a mock battle. A mock battle is where a person tests a Tester/Mod/Admin as if they were testers and we were students.

3 admins have approved now you must have a mock test whenever you want to be mock tested message one of us admins or a tester of the academy
